Works by Aristides Maillol including sculptures, engravings, paintings and ceramics. This French-Catalan artist, born in Banyuls-sur-Mer France, started his artistic career as a child and at 14 painted his first canvas featuring the beach at Banyuls. He was accepted to a fine arts school in Paris when he was 24, and he spent the rest of his life working as an artist. After the fall of Barcelona in the last months of the Spanish Civil War, photojournalist Agustí Centelles was sent along with other refugees to a concentration camp in Bram. The Drap-Art non-profit organisation was founded in 1995 with an aim of promoting creative recycling through its many projects it has been involved in, such as festivals, exhibitions and workshops.
